Custom Made Slings

Silvalea Ltd were the first company in the UK to manufacture individual and bespoke
custom made slings tailored to suit a particular clients needs as well as being the first
company to introduce specialised fabrics into sling manufacturing with the pioneering parasilk moulded wheelchair range of slings.

Custom made slings range from a standard sling with additional tailoring to a very
complex sling to deal with a severe disability or manual handling issue.
From years of manufacturing custom made slings the experience gained and knowledge possessed make us the number one manufacturer of bespoke custom made slings.

This knowledge has allowed us to manufacture a standardised version of the immensely popular ‘Moulded Wheelchair Sling’ with slight tailoring to allow for a small curvature of the spine.
This has in turn allowed us to reduce the price of these slings making them a more
affordable option and thus reducing the burden of cost to Social Services and NHS
Trusts.

We have a distributor network which covers many areas across the UK and Ireland with many of these distributors specialising in the custom made slings.
We also have distributors in some parts of Europe who also specialise in the bespoke
and standard sling ranges.

Silvalea Ltd has always been at the forefront of new design and manufacturing
techniques which has seen us become the first point of contact when therapists and
trainers have a manual handling issue or problem they need solving.

With Manual Handling issues and regulations becoming more widespread across all
industries we have even been asked to make various slings for vetinary practices so
when needed, the animals can be hoisted safely thus avoiding back injuries to vetinary
practitioners.
