Sling & Hoist Compatibility
Interchanging slings has always been an issue for many professionals over the years and this is an understandable concern with the growing number of manufacturers now making slings. There may be reluctance by certain hoist manufacturers to accept the interchangeability of slings or hoists. Sling Sizing
Different manufacturers cut their slings to slightly different sizes and measurements. This therefore sometimes causes confusion when purchasing a new sling as what could be a good fitting sling from one manufacturer may not be such a good fit from another even though the same size sling has been purchased.
To help overcome any problems with sling sizing we have produced a sling sizing chart for the slings we manufacture. This will give you a general guide to what size sling you should order for your client by measuring the height of your client and their chest size.
